Talking Points project
managed a consortium of energy and engineering
stakeholders to create the strategic plan for the New Carolinas
Nuclear Cluster, and will manage initial implementation of the plan.
Scott Carlberg has been chosen as a panelist for the October 2008
International Economic Development Council annual meeting in
Atlanta. Topic: "Success Starts With Your Board," which will help
economic development organizations recruit and develop board
leaders.
Talking Points' Scott
Carlberg is on the Board of Management Advisors for BioCytics, a
biotech firm in Huntersville, NC. BioCyctics is creating the first
independent BioBank and Phase I testing facility capable of dynamic
clinical research trials embedded in Electronic Medical Records.
Additional cellular therapy and genomic research of these isolated
cells will be performed in BioCytics’ BioEngineering Laboratory.
Scott Carlberg is leading the study of the best ways to
build partnerships between business and higher education. The project, called "Open For Business," is
being done for the University of North Carolina system through UNC
Charlotte. As part of the plan Carlberg is creating the
business plan for the "Energy Production and Infrastructure Center"
that will provide engineering expertise for the energy industry.
